UHSAA
The Utah High School Activities Association was founded in 1927. Its purpose is to administer and supervise interscholastic activities among the member schools according to the Association Constitution and By-Laws. A complete listing of all items contained in the UHSAA handbook and yearbook can be found by accessing uhsaa.org on the internet. The UHSAA sanctions and regulates activity programs in 18 sports as well as drill, drama, forensics, and music. The UHSAA does not govern or regulate students or athletic programs below the ninth grade level. Ben Lomond High School is a member of the UHSAA and as such, adopts all UHSAA rules and regulations as its own. Hence, any coach, administrator, or student that violates a UHSAA rule, is in effect, violating its own policies. In order to remain up to date and in compliance, each coach and advisor should become familiar with and remain knowledgeable of the contents of the UHSAA handbook and yearbook, which can be found at uhsaa.org. Coaches and advisors are to make copies of the contents of the UHSAA handbook and yearbook. Coaches and advisors are to make copies of the section that governs their specific activity, as well as the sections on in and out of season rules, contest regulations, etc. Copies of the section on student eligibility will be found in the Ben Lomond High School Student Handbook distributed to each student.
